WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY IN LEVITICUS?
Leviticus: The Rebellion-Stopping, Life-Saving, Peace-Making Hero
Every Sinner Need A Sacrifice
For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it for you on the altar to make atonement for your souls, for it is the blood that makes atonement by the life. (Leviticus 17:11)
The Ultimate High Priest - 11 But when Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things that have come, then through the greater and more perfect tent (not made with hands, that is, not of this creation)
The Final, One-Time Sacrifice - 12 he entered once for all into the holy places, not by means of the blood of goats and calves but by means of his own blood, thus securing an eternal redemption.
The Perfectly Purifying Blood - 13 For if the blood of goats and bulls, and the sprinkling of defiled persons with the ashes of a heifer, sanctify for the purification of the flesh, 14 how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works to serve the living God.
The Life Giving Mediator - 15 Therefore he is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance, since a death has occurred that redeems them from the transgressions committed under the first covenant.
Live In Holiness: Repent, Believe & Act
For I am the Lord your God. Consecrate yourselves therefore, and be holy, for I am holy. (Leviticus 11:44)
Engage Mentally - 1 Peter 1:13a Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded,
Focus Emotionally & Willfully- 1 Peter 1:13b set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
Be Holy - 1 Peter 1:14-16 As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance, 15 but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, 16 since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”
